BUYERS BEWARE: There are solar/battery web sites selling Batteries with Apparent High Amp Hour capacities advertised at the 100 hour rate (i.e. C/100) We don't believe the 100 hour rate is a practical listing for battery buyers. It just a way to make a battery look larger and better than it actually is (higher Amp Hour number)

All of our battery Amp Hour ratings are honestly listed at the industry standard 20 hour rate (a lower Amp Hour number) Our low pricing is always the best... if somebody else's pricing looks to be better BEWARE of the 'ole amp hour rate switcheroo. In order to efficiently ship your Surrette batteries the trucking company, used by the battery factory, needs to know what to expect on the receiving end. Most residences are not capable of handling a 40' semi and most don't have the forklift capability to quickly unload.

There are Additional Flat Fee Services available on most Surrette Battery shipments, as follows:

• Lift gate service $70.00,

• Call ahead service $30.00

• Residential delivery (if possible) $70.00.

• Dry charged units, incur a 5% up-charge, separate electrolyte is not provided.

• Separate Electrolyte (with order) PRICE: $25.97 20 liter, UN approved.

• Export Crating is available at 8% over the invoiced cost of the total battery shipment.

Acid Spill Absorber & Neutralizer                                           

This amazing product is way beyond anything else on the market you could use. For years all we had to recommend to folks was to sprinkle baking soda on the floor underneath their battery installation. The result was marginal at best.

Now you can spread our acid spill absorber & neutralizer with confidence that any spill will be contained and neutralized. The formula changes color when acid is present and then changes color again when the acid is neutralized. No guessing that it worked... you see visual proof it has done its job. We sell the 8 pound bucket which should be enough for the life of your batteries.

We recommend spreading the formula on the floor under your protective floor mat and then on top of the mat as well. Then place you batteries directly on the formula. Any spillage will be quickly absorbed and neutralized.

Floor Protective Battery Mat                                                      

Everybody who sets up a battery system always asks... What should I put under my batteries to protect my floor?

Here's the answer... Our acid absorbing battery mat! We sell it in a convenient 3 foot by 10 foot roll. A perfect size for most battery installations. Can be cut to size.

In the event of a battery spill use our wash water neutralizer TSB-510160 to neutralize acid and then shop-vac to remove liquid and reuse mat again. Will last the life of many battery installations. Cheaper than a truck bed mat, and it absorbs acid spills too.

• Mat absorbs Acid but won't leak through tough Polypropylene backing.

• Electrically isolates batteries, preventing parasitic discharge.

• Use over and over again.

Eyewash Station                                                                           

Setting up a renewable energy battery system? Don't forget the most important item! I recommend placing our Eyewash Station where you can easily find it blind, if you get acid in your eyes. Add to wash water to neutralize acid spills on our Floor Protective Battery Mat or anywhere you have a sulfuric acid spill. Once neutralized just suck it up with your shop-vac and your done.

Use on the battery box in your car or truck.  When I have new batteries delivered, I always wash the sides and bottom of the batteries before I put them into service.  Never wash the tops of your batteries as you do not want any neutralizer to get into the cells, because it will damage them.

If you're quick it may even save your new blue jeans!

Battery Cable - Interconnects                                                                  

Highest quality multi-stranded copper welding cable with twelve ton crimped tinned copper lugs and heat shrink tubing on both ends. Our crimped copper lugs make the best connection because they are a copper to copper connection.

After over thirty years experience of making battery cables for the over the road heavy truck industry we don't solder our cables because a soldered connection puts solder between the wire and the lug and solder is not as good a conductor as copper. A copper to copper twelve ton crimped connection is the best because, it carries the most amperage.
