Direct Power makes the easiest and the most elegant module racks on the market. They are the rack of choice for all of our professional installers and they are the ones we here at The Solar Biz specify on the installs we do too. They cost slightly more than some other brands but the ease of installation, quality of materials and simplicity of use combine to make a very compelling argument for the small additional cost.
Standard top of pole mounts have heavy steel mounting sleeves, elevation pivots and strong backs that are painted with a durable outdoor paint. The module rails are a 6061-T6 mill finish, structural aluminum angle. Stainless steel module mounting hardware is always provided with all racks.
For harsh environments there are two finish environments that are available: either powder coated steel with mill finish aluminum module rails (add 35% to prices shown), or hot-dip galvanized steel with clear anodized aluminum rails (add 80% to prices shown).
Our standard top of pole mounts are adjustable from 15 degrees to 65 degrees in 10 degree increments. These racks are made to mount on standard sizes of schedule 40 steel pipe. The largest size racks are schedule 80 (see chart).
The number after the price is the series number. The series number refers to the actual rack design. It is the maximum module area allowable for the design followed by the nominal mounting pipe size required.
