Kohler has recently announced that they will no longer warrant Gen Sets installed in Off Grid Systems. While we think this decision is crazy it is none the less the current Kohler Company policy.

A Kohler Power Boost Residential Back-Up Generator is permanently installed outdoors, similar to an air-conditioning unit. It operates on Diesel Fuel or your home's existing fuel source, Natural Gas (NG) or liquid propane (LP).
The KOHLER standby power system includes the generator and automatic transfer switch (ATS.) Several additional items are needed to complete the installation, however the generator and ATS are the main components.
The system can pay for itself after just one power outage - compared with the costs associated with a flooded basement, spoiled food, or critical damage to electronics. The continuous uncertainty brought on by more frequent power outages creates a greater need for back-up power.
