Lister-Petter, England. Founded in 1867, has manufactured engines since 1909 and known worldwide as a manufacturer of highly reliable, premium quality, small diesel engines. These British engines are famous with industrial users worldwide as extremely rugged and long lived engines.

Depending on the size you choose, it is not unreasonable to expect that (with proper maintenance) your Lister-Petter engine will last 20 - 30,000 hours before its first overhaul. That's the equivalent of one and one half million miles in an automobile! The Lister-Petter factory has taken this durable diesel engine and converted it to also run on propane or natural gas fuels.

The Lister Petter line of generating sets was launched in 1984 to meet the demands of Lister Petter's distribution network requiring a factory produced generating set to replace their locally produced generators. By 1999, Lister Petter was the third largest assembler of stationary industrial generator sets in the 5kW to 20kW range in the world.

Lister Petter is rapidly becoming a leading manufacturer of heavy duty industrial engine generator sets. Standard specifications include a radiator-cooled engine with pusher fan, integral base frame, fuel tank, battery cables and hold down, vibration isolators, 12 volt electric start with belt driven battery charging alternator, fuel control solenoid-energized to run, medium duty air cleaner, engine mounted muffler with rain cap, fan and belt guard, mechanical fuel lift pump, main line circuit breaker, close coupled flexible plate drive Newage AVR alternator.

Generator controls are standard with auto-start to be started either manually or through a set of remote contacts suitable for automatic transfer switches. Control panel includes hour meter, three position rocker switch (RUN/OFF/AUTO), automatic starter disconnect, low oil pressure and high engine temperature shutdowns.

Generator: 4-pole, brushless generator with solid state Automatic Voltage Regulator and sealed lifetime bearing.

Engine: 1800 rpm slow speed industrial engine.

Assembly: Engine and generator close coupled and mounted via vibration isolators to steel sub base.

Warranty: 2 year 2000 Hour, limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
