Peerless Gas
Ranges are available with conventional pilot lights or electric spark ignition
to light the burners and oven. Spark ignition uses only 2 watts for a few
seconds (so it's great for those with a solar electric system), but if there is
no electricity, you can still light the burners and oven with a match. Of
course, the pilot light models use no electricity at all.

TRUCK FREIGHT
For all truck shipped stoves Peerless now charges an additional $25 Pallet charge. We will automatically palletize your stove unless you specify otherwise. Peerless will ship stoves without a pallet but they will not be responsible for un-palletized stoves that have been
damaged in shipment. Most un-palletized stoves do arrive with out any damage, but there is a risk.The best rate for truck freight shipping is for you to pick it up at a local freight terminal.
The second best rate is a commercial drop point.
A residential delivery is usually $45 to $85 more than a commercial business delivery.
A lift gate, not always available, (which drops the goods off at ground level), is usually an additional $80 to $100 in extra fees.
Receiving your stove
Please do not sign for anything until you have inspected your product. You have spent good money on it, and it was shipped in good condition. If you don't inspect it, and open the unit at home and find “hidden damage”, there is absolutely no recourse for a truck freight claim.
All claims for damage MUST be made at the time of receipt of the unit. Note any damage on the bill of lading before signing off. It is a relatively painless process to get a another new unit or even replacement parts if you do so.
In addition, please do not refuse an obviously damaged unit. You will still be charged for it. Freight damage is very rare, but proper documentation and reporting of any damage will really expedite the claims process.
