Dankoff TSP1000 Pump

The TSP 1000 uses solar-electric power to pump as much as 9000 gallons (35 cu. m.) per day from as deep as 230 feet (70 m) for livestock, community water, irrigation, remote camp sites, and more.

TSP 1000 Deep Well Water PumpThe TSP-1000 has been accepted by several international aid programs, with more than 1500 in use. Its superior efficiency results in far lower system costs than competing solar submersibles.

TSP 1000 is the most powerful positive displacement submersible pump on the market. It is more energy-efficient than any centrifugal impeller submersible, and does not lose its lift capacity at slow speeds. This pump combines the time-tested, positive displacement helical rotor with new electronic motor technology.

The Pump
The helical rotor mechanism has but one moving part, a hard chrome-plated rotor that revolves inside of a rubber stator. The contacting surfaces form sealed cavities which progress upward as the pump turns. There is little friction, and virtually no back leakage. This type of pump, rod-driven from above-ground, has been proven for decades and is commonly used in Africa. TSP 1000 is the first successful submersible helical rotor pump.

The Motor & Controller
TSP 1000 uses a DC brushless high-torque motor specially built by a leading European submersible motor manufacturer. The electronic controller is located at the surface. The controller starts and runs the pump in low light conditions and yields the most possible water from varying sun conditions. The controller has connections for level sensor probes to protect the pump from dry run damage. It also has connections for a remote float switch to prevent tank overflow. The controller displays the following data:
bulleton/off
bulletrelative rotational speed
bulletoverload condition
bulletlow water level

The System
TSP 1000 can be operated directly from a solar array of 6, 7 or 8 photovoltaic (PV) modules in series. This gives the customer a choice of pumping rates. Water storage sufficient for 4 to 8 days' usage is recommended.

Installation
Pump installation is identical to that of a conventional AC submersible pump, using either rigid or flexible drop pipe. Installation of the solar array involves simple nuts-and-bolts assembly. The controller and junction box included are fully weather proof and well-designed to make wiring easy the first time.
