Ends are squared. Kiln dried, requires acclimatization for 5-7
days at your site to insure moisture is stabilized. We suggest you
purchase at least 5% over your actual square footage for cuts and drops. Packaged
in 45 square foot bundles.

Information
Due to mesquite's exceptional hardness and resistance to wear, 1/2" thick mesquite is more than adequate for commercial and residential applications. Flooring that is 3/4" thick is an unnecessary waste of material. The equal, and very low, radial and tangential shrinkages of mesquite wood result in a very dimensionally stable floor with almost no tendency to warp. See Properties Therefore, while tongue and grooved flooring is useful to keep the floor tight while it is being laid, there is no good technical reason for end-matching (our T & G has ends squared). Mesquite when oiled will age to a naturally darker, rich, red-brown color from exposure to sunlight, however, if a UV inhibiting, water-based finish is used, the wood will stay a lighter shade. Our flooring is carefully graded and defected before leaving our facility, so that when your floor arrives, it is ready to lay. Our flooring products come in unfinished materials only.
